What is a Connect Group?
Connect Groups are an exciting way for you to meet and connect with others at Northwest Assembly! By meeting in homes across the area, Connect Groups provide a fun, relaxing environment for people to engage in meaningful relationships by doing life together. Connect Groups are focused on building relationships, growing together in your walk with God and praying for one another. They make a big church feel small!
When do Connect Groups meet?
Connect Groups meet once a week – most commonly on Sunday or Wednesday nights but some meet on other days throughout the week.
What is a typical Connect Group meeting like?
Most groups start with food and fellowship. Then you would move into a time of discipleship by talking about Sunday’s sermon followed by praying for one another’s needs. Groups also plan fun activities together.
What type of study does the Connect Group follow?
Most Connect Group discussions are centered on the current Sunday sermon at Northwest Assembly. This Sermon Based approach helps group members consider how the passage applies to their lives throughout the week. A few groups work through a specific Bible study.
What about childcare?
Not every group provides childcare but of those that do, some groups offer childcare at the home where they meet. Several Connect Groups meet on Wednesday night while their children and youth to participate in the weekly activities on the Northwest Assembly campuses.
Are Connect Groups specific to campus?
How do I join a Connect Group?

What if I don’t connect with the Connect Group I visit?
Our goal at Northwest Assembly is to help you find meaningful relationships in which you can grow. We understand that it may take checking out two or three different groups to find the right fit. With that in mind, we encourage you to give each group a few weeks before trying a new one. It usually takes a few weeks for people to break the ice and begin connecting.
How do I become a Connect Group Leader?
Serving as a facilitator provides opportunity to grow in your leadership abilities. You grow in your knowledge of Him as you facilitate discussion of His word, using the tools that are provided. Opening your home means sharing your life with friends. You see lives impacted, as you pour out your own life, and experience biblical community.
